They did not make the movie to tell the story of the vampire clan. It was just based on it.

Which book are you taiking about? There are two, "The Vampire Killers" and "The Embrace"

Last paragrphs of The Embrace:
After three hours of deliberation, the panel filled a two page report stating that they agreed with their predecessors. There was no hard evidence against Heather. They could not find probable cause.
"Each witness was to testify fully, and we have asked such questions as we felt appropriate," the grand jury wrote. "We find the evidence identified as new is not credible and we will not act upon it."
Heather was no ringleader. Heather was a victim.
the people had spoken.

Last paragraph of The Vampire Killers:
Rod was trouble, and like the seductive vampires of legend and literature, the evil he projected was contagious. Whoever developed or already had emotional close ties and friendships with him took the chance of polluting their lives with the sinister virus he carried and of sharing the malevolence and rot. The morbid, belligerent boy who called himself "Vassago" has shown character traits linked with words in medical textbooks like "psychopath" "sociopath" and "anti-social personality." Some of the traits that might apply to Rod are lack of conscience, a low tolerence for frustration and an inabilityto look ahead and consider the consequences of his behavior. His actions are indicative of someone who is irrational and filled with rage, and that makes him a very dangerous person.
